I was contacted by Sales Direct’s President Howard Lalgee following the October 2007 NAFEM Show in Atlanta at which we exhibited.

The research part of the project identified around 60 potential distributors and included manufacturers of complementary products. The research and preparation of marketing approach collateral were completed in a very timely manner. Cathy Peake did an excellent job of anglicizing our electronic marketing materials to produce a marketing message that really hit home with the targeted companies. Also a customized telephone script was composed in order to ensure exactly the right message was communicated to the appropriate decision makers in the UK companies.

The results achieved by Sales Direct’s staff were gained swiftly and it was clear that their expertise and experience in relationship building was pivotal in attracting serious interest in our product ranges. Not only were a number of approached companies interested but also, through in depth and tenacious exploratory work, excellent referrals were obtained which could in due course lead to business for us in countries other than the UK and Europe.

Throughout the project I was at all times kept apprised of all aspects of the work being undertaken both verbally and via weekly written reports. There was also an invaluable market research by-product produced by the work which helped in better understanding the dynamics of the UK marketplace.

The result of the Agent Direct project is that we have at least two serious opportunities open for us to take. The best of these companies is the second largest distributor of educational furniture in the UK and I will be meeting them in a few weeks time. They will be exhibiting our products at a major show in the UK in July. This company also has extensive coverage in a number of European countries. They clearly understand our goals for the UK and have the capability to order full containers of product which is our requirement.

We see this as a multi-million dollar opportunity in due course.
