Howard began his employment at a major UK bank. Following this, he worked for 12 years in the Northern UK division of a leading, Canadian financial services company - Confederation Life of Canada Ltd. (now owned by Sun Life of Canada).
Background
Howard initially sold financial planning products, later moving into the area of corporate planning in the healthcare sector. From the position of a top sales executive he progressed to sales management and was ultimately assigned responsibility for the recruitment, training and management of sales staff. In his first year in sales management he became the top new Sales Manager in the entire UK. This was achieved through his recruitment and training of a high caliber sales force.
In 1995, Howard made a career change by joining BCMS Tradeplan Ltd., at its headquarters near Newbury, in the southern country of Berkshire, England. In January 1999 Howard moved to the USA with his family to take up the role of Vice President of Sales for BCMS Export Development Inc.
Howard’s addition to the staff of BCMS Export Development Inc resulted in a 40% increase in sales in the first year.
He currently functions in the role of President of SALES DIRECT LLC and has oversight of SALES DIRECT’s range of services. He is a sought after speaker at export clubs, engineering group forums and for leading legal and financial organizations based in the both the UK and the USA.
He has a wealth of first hand experience in creating opportunities for UK companies with major US customers in the retail, manufacturing and service sectors.
